NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was carjacked by two thieves who stole $120,000 in jewelry from his vehicle in the Bronx, police said Wednesday.
The NYPD released surveillance video that appears to show one of the crooks removing a bag from the car during the robbery last Tuesday night.
Police said a 27-year-old man was inside his vehicle on Walton Avenue, outside Joyce Kilmer Park in the Concourse section, when he was approached by the duo, who pulled a gun on him.
One of the robbers then forced the man out of the vehicle and drove off with it, police said.
The carjacker stopped the vehicle a short distance away, where he or she snatched a bag from the vehicle that contained $120,000 in jewelry, according to police.

The two thieves then fled the area on foot, police said. They were last seen in the area of Joyce Kilmer Park.
No injuries were reported.
Just last week, two thieves robbed a man of $1.2 million in jewels as he sat in his car in Borough Park, Brooklyn.
