Bronx man fatally shot in road rage incident: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One man was killed in what’s being labeled as a road rage incident, while two others were injured in New York City shootings Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, police said.

Police said a 45-year-old man was shot in the back of the head following a road rage incident Wednesday.

It happened just after 5:30 a.m. in front of 390 East 162nd St. in Morrisania. The man was sitting in the rear passenger seat of a Nissan SUV at the time, according to police.

EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as Aracellio Pellot, of the Bronx. He lived about two miles from the scene of the shooting.

No arrests have been made as of Wednesday afternoon, and an investigation is ongoing, police said.

Two other nonfatal shootings happened in New York City late Tuesday.

A man was shot in the hand in Brownsville at about 10 p.m. on Sutter Avenue near Junius Street. police said. The victim went to a hospital in stable condition and no arrests have been made.

Then in Bay Ridge just before 8 p.m., a man was shot in the leg on 68th Street, police said. That victim went to a hospital in stable condition, and no arrests have been made.
