Bronx produce market worker robbed at gunpoint, 3 sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a trio of suspects wanted for attempting to rob a Bronx produce market worker at gunpoint earlier this week, authorities said.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26 inside of a bodega located at 349 East 138th St. in Mott Haven, a 26-year-old store employee was working behind the counter when three suspects approached the victim and displayed a firearm while demanding the property.


The suspects attempted to breach the counter glass by kicking it but were unsuccessful and fled on foot without taking any store property.

The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot into the 3rd Avenue -138th Street subway station.

No injuries were reported.
