NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Dunkin' worker scared off a knife-wielding man on Saturday by pulling out an even "bigger knife."

The employee was working at the doughnut shop in Sheepshead Bay around 10:30 a.m. when he was approached by a man demanding free coffee, the New York Post reported.

When his request was rebuffed, the man pulled a knife on the employee and told him to "Give me everything in the cash register," according to the report.

But instead of handing over the cash, the worker said he "went to the kitchen and got a bigger knife" as his sister called 911.

The would-be robber ran away, hopping into a gray Nissan Pathfinder and driving off down the Belt Parkway, police said.

The NYPD was still searching for the suspect, believed to be about 35 years old, on Sunday, according to the report.
