The 35-year-old victim, Stephen Hanson, told the Daily News he was returning from practice at the Brooklyn College Conservatory Orchestra when he saw a man closely following a woman inside of the Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College station in Crown Heights around 8 p.m.

Hanson said the woman began to sprint in an alleged attempt to evade the attack, running up the stairs.

The attacker then turned his attention to Hanson.

“As soon as I got to eye level with him, he looked at me and said, ‘Oh, you’re gonna take the rap for this s--t?’, and I was like, ‘What?’” Hanson told the Daily News. “I didn’t understand what he was saying.”

The man then pushed Hanson against a wall which made him lose his balance before stabbing him “like three times,” Hanson said.

With blood spewing from his neck, Hanson ran up the steps, escaping the attacker. He later received stitches for the wound at a nearby hospital. The slash was just centimeters away from a major artery.

The NYPD is searching for the suspect who ran back into the station.

“Wrong place, wrong time is basically what it was,” Hanson said of the attack.

None of his property, including a violin he had with him, was stolen.

The attack is the most recent in a series of transit crimes, including a city Health Department scientist hit in the head with a hammer on Thursday.
