State Trooper Christopher Baldner rammed Michelle Surrency’s car twice on Dec. 22, 2020, causing the car to flip over the guardrail and killing her daughter Monica Goods.

The girl’s father, Tristin Goods was arguing with Baldner when the cop filled the inside of the car with pepper spray, causing Goods to panic and drive away on I-87 near Kingston.

Baldner rammed the car while giving chase.

In separate lawsuits, Surrency and Goods are each arguing that Baldner had no basis to ram the car and failed to get permission from a supervisor before attempting the maneuver.

Baldner will stand trial for murder on May 18.
