NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who pepper-sprayed an employee during a robbery at a Brooklyn smoke shop last month, authorities said.
Just before 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 16, the suspect entered a smoke shop located 74 Pennsylvania Ave. in East New York and approached the 22-year-old employee behind the counter and inquired about store merchandise, police said.

The suspect exited the store briefly and returned.
When the employee walked to a back closet the suspect jumped over the counter, displayed a can of pepper spray and sprayed the employee in the face.
The suspect then took a bag containing numerous CBD products, worth a total value of $1,800, and fled the location on foot heading northbound on Pennsylvania Ave., according to the NYPD.
The victim was treated on the scene by EMS for eye irritation.
Police describe the suspect as a man, approximately 5'10" tall, 180 pounds, with a dark complexion, medium build, short black hair, last seen wearing a black face mask, blue rubber gloves, a white Jordan sweatshirt with a purple hood, tight gray pants, one red sneaker, one blue sneaker and a black bookbag.
