NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A thief looking for cash in Brooklyn choked and shoved a 68-year-old man to the ground Tuesday morning — only to make off with just $2, police said.
The victim was walking on the sidewalk of the 500-block of Prospect Place in Crown Heights around 6 a.m. when the crook approached him from behind, according to police.
The suspect then placed the man in a chokehold before shoving to him to the ground and swiping his wallet, which contained $2, police said.
The NYPD released surveillance footage Wednesday of a man sought in connection with the crime wearing a baseball cap, black jacket and black capris.
