NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A Brooklyn woman was charged after a man's head and body parts were found in a freezer sealed with tape at her apartment, police said Friday.

Heather Stines, 45, was charged Thursday with concealment of a human corpse. She's expected to face a judge Friday.

While the case has been ruled a homicide, she has not been charged in the man's death.

The gruesome discovery was made Monday evening as NYPD officers responded to a Crime Stoppers tip about a possible body in her fourth-floor apartment at 2069 Nostrand Ave. in East Flatbush.

During the visit, cops came across the taped-shut freezer with the remains sealed inside. They'd likely been there for months, police said.

The medical examiner is working to determine how the man died as police investigate what led to his dismembered remains ending up in the freezer.

Investigators believe he was a 40-year-old man involved in a drug dispute, WABC-TV reported. They're looking to speak with a man who may have lived with Stines at the home.
