Woman, 29, charged with stabbing ex-boyfriend to death in Brooklyn: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 29-year-old woman was arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday after she allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend to death inside her Brooklyn apartment on Monday, according to police and a report.

Alma Bravo was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday after police found Frankie Cardona, 25, dead inside her Canarsie apartment Monday night, the NYPD said.

Cardona, who lived in Dyker Heights, had stab wounds to his chest and neck when police officers found him inside Bravo’s apartment, the department said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police told the Daily News Cardona was Bravo’s ex-boyfriend. Bravo allegedly stabbed Cardona with a kitchen knife after the two got into a fight, the outlet reported.

Bravo’s 11- and 13-year-old children were inside the home when she allegedly attacked Cardona, according to the outlet. She was the one who called 911 after the stabbing, the outlet reported.

Her attorney information wasn’t immediately available Tuesday. An investigation is ongoing.
