NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Bud Light tractor-trailer hit and killed a moped rider in Queens on Thursday, officials confirm.
The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Astoria Boulevard and Crescent Street. in Astoria.
According to FDNY officials, a man was trapped under the semi-trailer truck at the scene.
Videos posted on Citizen app showed a red motor scooter partially trapped by one of the truck’s wheels, as police, firefighters, and EMS examined the scene.
According to the New York Post, video footage suggested that the truck driver hit the moped rider as it made a right turn.
The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Queens with life-threatening injuries and later died officials said.
An investigation is ongoing.
