NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Staff members including a security guard at a luxury Manhattan building were suspended Tuesday after they were seen on video closing the front door while a 65-year-old Asian woman was being beaten right outside in an apparent hate crime.

The Brodsky Organization, which runs the 360 West 43rd Street building, said the workers who witnessed the attack on Monday morning "have been suspended pending an investigation in conjunction with their union."

“The Brodsky Organization is also working to identify a third-party delivery vendor present during the incident so that appropriate action can be taken,” the management company added. “The Brodsky Organization condemns all forms of discrimination, racism, xenophobia, and violence against the Asian American community.”

The attacker was recognized by workers at other nearby buildings as an apparently homeless man who wanders the neighborhood and hangs out at a nearby park the Daily News reported.

He fled the scene leaving the victim who was taken to NYU Langone Hospital with a serious injury that required hospitalization, the NYPD said.

During his briefing on Tuesday, Mayor Bill de Blasio called the attack "absolutely disgusting" and "outrageous,” adding that the person who did it was "full of hate."

“We continue to see these horrible, disgusting attacks on Asian American New Yorkers and it’s got to end,” de Blasio said as he urged people to report, call 911, call NYPD's Tips hotline.

NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea also commented during a NY1 interview on Tuesday, calling the attack “very disturbing.”

“It’s really disgusting when you see the video,” Shea said. “We’re trying to make any sense of it and can’t. I don’t know who attacks a 65-year-old woman and leaves her on the street like that.”
