NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Brooklyn thief took a bodega burglary to a whole other level, cutting a hole in a business’ roof to steal cash from a register and ATM, police said.
The NYPD released images Monday of the suspect they’re after in the Nov. 1 burglary in Carroll Gardens.
The crook struck around 3:15 a.m., cutting a hole in the roof of the bodega at 5 9th St. and descending into the store, police said.
He stole $900 in cash from the register, as well as an undetermined about of cash from an ATM and various store merchandise, according to cops.
He was last seen fleeing on foot to the Fourth Avenue/Ninth Street station in Park Slope, where he hopped aboard a Manhattan-bound D train, police said. Video shows him lugging a packed duffle bag through the turnstile.
No injuries were reported in the break-in.
