NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a totally concealed burglar who climbed through a window and into a Queens home last week to steal jewelry.

The NYPD released images showing the suspect wearing a burqa, a traditional garment worn by some Muslim women—though it's unclear if the suspect is even a woman.

According to police, the thief entered a residence at Oak Avenue and 163rd Street in East Flushing on the evening of May 6 by climbing through a kitchen window.

The crook stole "various pieces of jewelry" before taking off, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
