NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 57-year-old man was fatally shot in the Bronx on Sunday evening, the latest innocent bystander to be killed during a shooting in the city, police said.
An argument involving about 10 men turned violent just before 7 p.m. near East 188th Street and Marion Avenue in Fordham, leading to a suspect opening fire into the crowd.
The shooter missed the men involved in the dispute, instead striking 57-year-old Kevin Jennings in the head, killing him.
A stray bullet also caught a 34-year-old bystander in the knee, and she was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The gunman ran into a nearby store before stashing the gun and fleeing the scene, police said. Investigators have since recovered the weapon.
The suspected shooter was nabbed nearby along with three others who were taken into custody, officials said, with charges pending.
The shooting comes only weeks after 61-year-old Harlem grandmother Excenia Mette was inadvertently killed by a stray bullet during a violent dispute between two 23-year-olds. Mette—better known among her neighbors and loved ones as Mama Zee—was a community advocate who was shot in the head while stepping outside her building to check on her grandson.
Ricky Shelby is charged with murder and attempted murder in the shooting, while Darious Smith caught an attempted murder charge.
Both men are also charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
