NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 71-year-old cab driver was beaten and robbed by a woman in the Bronx after an argument with her and three others about opening his car's trunk, police said Tuesday.
The four women were picked up in front of 579 Grand Concourse on March 20 around 9:30 p.m. Eventually, the driver and the women got into an argument over popping the trunk.
The dispute escalated, and the group got out of the car. Police said one of the women began punching the victim multiple times in the face and removed his iPhone 8, worth $900, from the vehicle.
The women fled on foot northbound on Grand Concourse, and the victim refused medical attention at the scene.
