NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A science lab explosion at City College left one person injured on Wednesday, according to police.
At around 2:06 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting an explosion inside City College, located at 85 St. Nicholas Terrace in West Harlem.
Upon arrival, police found that a student had been mixing chemicals, which led to the explosion.
One person was injured in the incident, but it is unclear whether the injured individual was a student or someone else.
Police confirmed that the situation is under control.
An investigation is ongoing.
