NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- U.S. Marshals managed to track down a suspect in a Connecticut homicide on Staten Island and place him into custody Monday morning, officials said.

"This arrest is the result of excellent work by Det. Winkler and the other detectives that assisted in the case," Lt. Christopher LaMaine said.

Authorities will extradite 22-year-old Jahleel Bailey of Staten Island, to Connecticut where he will be charged with murder and carrying a dangerous weapon.

His bail will be set at $1,000,000, officials said.

Bailey is accused of fatally stabbing his sisters’ husband, Brandon Goode, 26, on Dec. 13, following a dispute at their home in Bridgeport.

Medics transported Goode to St. Vincent's Medical Center where he died from wounds to his lower extremities.
