HARTFORD, Conn. (1010 WINS) -- A mother and daughter from Connecticut are facing charges for their alleged roles in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Carla Krzywicki, 19, and Jean Lavin, 56, of Canterbury were arrested Tuesday on charges of entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating and picketing in a Capitol building.
According to officials, a tip was received that the mother and daughter were among those inside the Capitol earlier this year. The tip included pictures from Krzywicki's Facebook account, with one depicting them steps outside the building, then in the Capitol's atrium.

One post said, "This is history. We do not go burning down your city and stealing from your business. We come for the government officials that are ruining our country. We go straight to the source. Change needs to happen. That is our house and you work for us."
The FBI said it received videos showing the women climbing a bike rack to get into the building.
Another video showed them inside the building, court documents said. An FBI member who was in contact with Lavin and Krzywicki confirmed those in the photos were the two women.

Lavin was spotted that day wearing a red jacket, pink shirt and a hat saying "Trump." She also had a sign reading "Trump Won" on one side and "Don't allow 7 states of cheaters to hijack out election!" on the other.
The FBI interviewed Lavin in June, where she said they traveled to Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, missed President Donald Trump's speech that day because a bus they were on got lost, but followed the crowd to the Capitol grounds.

Lavin told the FBI that they entered the Capitol "just to look around out of curiosity." They left after Lavin fell, according to documents.
Krzywicki told the FBI as he posted a picture to Facebook, but then deleted it because she thought it seemed like a bad idea to keep up.
Lavin and Krzywicki were due to appear before a judge Tuesday.
