NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan reunited last December at Katz’s Deli—the staple Lower East Side restaurant featured in their iconic 1989 New York City rom-com “When Harry Met Sally”—as part of a Hellman’s mayonnaise spot for Super Bowl LIX.

The duo had teased their reunion on social media last week, putting it on fans’ radars before the commercial’s official premiere at Katz’s on Tuesday night. The clip was uploaded to YouTube by Hellman’s Wednesday morning.

“It was our 35th anniversary of the film, and it's the first time that we've been offered something like that,” Crystal told PEOPLE. “It was a really fun idea, and the approach was right.”

Crystal and Ryan reprise their roles as Harry Burns and Sally Albright in the commercial, sitting at the table they occupied 35 years ago.

In the original scene, Sally loudly fakes an orgasm after Harry cannot believe that a woman he’s been with has done so, prompting his opening quip in the recreation: “I can’t believe they let us back in this place.”

The new scene features Sally vocally enjoying a turkey sandwich that she added Hellman’s mayo too, as Harry munches on a pastrami sandwich. He notes “This one’s real” as he watches Sally enjoy herself.

The scene-making punchline is delivered by none other than a modern rom-com star, A-list actress Sydney Sweeney in a surprise cameo.
Sitting at a nearby table and looking over at Ryan, Sweeney tells her server “I’ll have what she’s having.”

A teaser ad for the Super Bowl spot that addresses Sally’s distinctive ordered method was posted six days before the commercial was released to excite fans about the reunion.

“They were so respectful of the movie and of the scene too,” Ryan told PEOPLE, referring to Hellmann’s. “They came to us with just an enormous amount of respect for that, for the source material and for the characters.”

Hellman’s and Katz’s will be extending the commercial to real life and selling a “What She’s Having” sandwich package that can be shipped across the country, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It will include all the ingredients featured in the turkey sandwich, a pastrami sandwich and of course, Hellmann’s mayo.
