NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo on Monday announced that indoor dining will return in NYC on Friday, Feb. 12, at 25 percent capacity days earlier from the original plan to reopen on Valentine's day.
According to the governor, restaurants have been asking to open prior to the holiday, to help them prepare for a big rush after being months of being shut down for indoor service.

"They'll be ready on that weekend and Valentine's Day," Cuomo said. "They'll have a big Valentine's day."
The decision also comes as the number of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the state continues to decrease.
