Cops hunt cyclist who ran down man on electric unicycle in Central Park

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for a cyclist accused of running down a unicyclist in Central Park earlier this week, causing him serious injury.

At about 4:30 p.m. Monday on West Drive at 60th Street, a 40-year-old man was riding an electric unicycle when police said he was struck by a bicycle. The cyclist then fled to parts unknown.

The victim sustained serious injuries, and medics transported him to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical but stable condition, officials said.

Police released surveillance photos of the alleged cyclist late Wednesday night to aid the investigation.
