NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Manhattan dad repeatedly punched his daughter in the face after accusing her of cheating while she was in an online class, according to officials.
Police said just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, 58-year-old Grant Martin accused his 12-year-old daughter of cheating while he sat next to her in their apartment in the Baruch Houses on the Lower East Side.
Martin punched the girl in the head and face while the teacher watched, officials said.
The teacher immediately called the police and Martin was arrested at his home.
Martin was charged with acting in manner injurious to a child, assault and harassment.
Martin has 28 prior arrests dating back to 1982 and was last arrested in 2013 for punching a 44-year-old man in Manhattan, according to officials.
