NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Dead & Company fan accidentally fell to his death during the band’s concert at Citi Field Friday night, according to police.

The 46-year-old man fell from a second-floor stairwell next to the right-field gate around 9 p.m., landing face-down on the pavement outside the Queens baseball stadium, police said.

The victim was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police sources told the New York Post that the man was possibly under the influence when he fell.

The concert was the third in a 31-date tour that will run through Holloween for the band, an offshoot of the legendary psychedelic rock group The Grateful Dead that features original members as well as John Mayer.
