Death of homeless man found on Manhattan street deemed homicide

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the death of a homeless man found outside a Manhattan building earlier this week, authorities said.

EMS responded to a 911 call of an aided individual in front 221 East 33rd St. in Kips Bay just before 1 a.m. on Monday, August 14, the NYPD said .

The unidentified man was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials believe the injuries are consistent with an assault.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has deemed this incident a homicide.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
