NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating after a man found semi-conscious in the hallway of a Bronx building last month died days later, authorities said Tuesday.
Just after 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, police responded to a 911 call of an aided male and calls for help inside of 1165 Shakespeare Ave. in Highbridge, officials said.
Upon arrival at the fifth-floor hallway, officers observed 33-year-old Jermaine Jones in a semi-conscious state, with a lactation under his chin.
EMS responded to the location and transported Jones to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he died on Sunday, June 25.
The victim sustained apparent traumatic head injury and the incident has been deemed a Homicide, according to the NYPD.
There have been no arrests made and an investigation remains ongoing.
