NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 36-year-old pedestrian was critically injured Wednesday night when he was struck by a delivery truck driver on the Upper West Side, officials said.
According to police, the victim was about to cross at the intersection of West 73th Street and Broadway at approximately 7:20 p.m., when he was struck by a DHL van.

EMS transported the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in critical condition with head trauma, authorities said.
The driver, a man in his 20s, remained on scene and was later taken into custody.
He is expected to be charged, police sources told the New York Post.
An investigation remains ongoing.
