NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man stealing deodorant and body wash from a Bronx Duane Reade scratched a security guard before fleeing from the store, police said Monday as they released video of the suspect.

The shoplifter tried to lift the personal hygiene products from the Duane Reade at E. 170th Street and Townsend Avenue in Mount Eden on the evening of May 17.

As the man attempted to leave the store with the merchandise around 5 p.m., a 47-year-old security guard stopped him, police said.
