
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a driver they said critically injured an 11-year-old boy on a scooter in a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn on Monday evening.
The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. on Ocean Parkway near Avenue V in Gravesend. According to officials, a driver in a 2026 Acura Integra sedan, traveling northbound, struck the child then fled the scene on foot, abandoning the vehicle on Ocean Parkway.
A 25-year-old man was also hit by debris ejected in the crash, officials said.
Both the child and the man were transported by EMS to Maimonides Medical Center where police said the 11-year-old is in critical condition. The 25-year-old is expected to recover.
The investigation remains ongoing.
