NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a pair of burglars who have been stealing refrigerators and washing machines from high-end residential buildings in Bushwick.
The weekslong spree has netted the duo at least five refrigerators and several washing machines since late December.
The pair appears to be targeting high-end residential buildings that were recently built in the area.
The first burglary was on the evening of Dec. 23 at a building near Covert Street and Bushwick Avenue. The burglars pried open a front door and stole a washing machine.
Police said they returned to the same building four days later and stole a refrigerator. They were back at the address yet again on Jan. 4, when they stole a refrigerator and TV.
On the morning of Jan. 3, they also stole multiple refrigerators and a washer-dryer from a building five blocks away at Jefferson and Bushwick avenues, police said.
Their most recent burglary was on the morning of Jan. 8, when they stole a refrigerator and a washer-dryer from a building at Putnam and Evergreen avenues.
In every burglary, they pried open a front door to enter the building before fleeing on foot with the stolen appliances, according to police.
No injuries were reported in any of the break-ins.
