NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 60-year-old man died after being hit by an E train he had just gotten off of on Saturday night, authorities said.
The straphanger had just gotten off the subway at the Jamaica-Van Wyck station around 11:30 p.m. when he stumbled backward onto the tracks, officials said.
After falling in, the E train struck him as it left the station. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The victim's identity has not yet been released. It is still unclear what caused him to stumble.
