NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The ex-NYPD officer who was fired for fraternizing with Donald Trump’s adviser Roger Stone and other alleged right-wing conservative connections is suing the NYPD.

In a lawsuit fired at Brooklyn Federal Court Sunday, Salvatore Greco claims the department, as well as Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell, violated his First Amendment rights by terminating him for aligning with right-wing ideals.

Greco was present at the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol insurrection and was seen on camera hanging with Stone as well as Manhattan Madam Kristin Davis, who was convicted of prostitution, at a hotel in Washington D.C.

Though Greco was at the Capitol on Jan. 6, he did not participate in the actual riots. A video published by the Washington Post shows Greco with his gun and badge while hanging with Stone and Davis. Greco wants to challenge the department’s restriction on sworn officers mingling with known felons.

“This rule is ‘overbroad’ and its application is in contravention of the First Amendment and must be stricken,” the suit reads.

Greco alleges that he was never paid to be Stone’s security nor did he wear a badge and have his gun. He told the Daily News that the termination left him unable to a funeral for his father because he had to pay for legal fees he accumulated after being subpoenaed by the special House committee probing the events of Jan. 6.
