NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two men posing as Uber drivers robbed a 60-year-old woman of pain pills at gunpoint after she left a Bronx pharmacy and got in their SUV, police said Friday as they searched for the armed duo.
The victim was leaving a pharmacy at E. 167th Street and Gerard Avenue in the Concourse section on the afternoon of Dec. 13 when she was approached by the two men around 4:30 p.m. police said.
The men told the woman their black Dodge Denali was an Uber and that they could take her home, according to police.
When the woman entered the SUV, one of the men pulled a handgun on her and demanded her property, police said.
The woman handed over a prescription of 70 oxycodone pills, as well as her purse, which had $60 cash and her ID in it.
The men then forced the woman out of the vehicle near East 167 Street and Walton Avenue, police said.
The victim was not injured.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects Friday.
