ISLIP, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A father walking with his baby in a stroller was struck by a car on Long Island Tuesday night, authorities said.
Just before 6:30 p.m., Suffolk County police officers responded to a crash in front of 270 Grant Ave. in Islip where the dad who had been pushing a stroller with his 10-month-old son inside was hit by a 46-year-old driver.
The father was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The baby was not struck but was also transported to the hospital for evaluation.
The driver was not injured and no arrests have been made, police said.
