NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An FDNY EMT who was arrested Thursday has been accused of stealing $33,000 in valuables and cash from his landlord's Brooklyn apartment after helping the dying man get to a hospital, according to a report.

Javier Rosario, 29, was charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, police said Friday.

Rosario helped other EMTs get his sick landlord into an ambulance at their building near 84th Street and 19th Avenue in Bensonhurst, police told the Daily News.

But after the landlord was taken to a hospital, police said Rosario went into the man's vacant apartment and stole electronics, cash and jewelry worth $33,000. The theft was allegedly caught on surveillance video.

The landlord died of natural causes at the hospital, according to the report.
