NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Firefighters freed a boy who was locked inside of a vault at an abandoned building in Brooklyn on Thursday night, the FDNY said.
The 15-year-old somehow got trapped in the vault at the dilapidated property at Franklin and Montgomery streets in Crown Heights.
It's unclear how long he was in the vault, but the FDNY responded to the location around 11 p.m. after his friend called 911.

Video shows at least a half-dozen FDNY trucks and other vehicles in the area during the rescue.
First responders managed to free the teen by breaking a hole in a brick wall adjacent to the vault.
FDNY Battalion Chief Tim Gimpel said firefighters were in constant contact with the boy throughout the operation.
"We had a small hole, we were able to talk to the kid inside the vault," Gimpel said. "He was breathing, he was fine. We had him stand back. We handed him a blanket at some point, because we were creating some sparks."
He squeezed out of the hole and was evaluated at the scene by EMS.
Police secured the scene overnight to prevent other people from entering the derelict structure.
