NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Black smoke was seen coming from the roof of a Lower Manhattan high-rise on Wednesday morning.
The FDNY responded to reports of a fire around 9:20 a.m. at a 72-story residential skyscraper located at 125 Greenwich St., currently under construction.
Photos and videos of the fire circulated on social media, showing dark black smoke coming off from the top of the building and people gathering around the street to watch.


More than 20 units and 78 firefighters responded to the scene.
The fire was brought under control at around 10:05 a.m.

No injuries have been reported.
