NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A fisherman discovered a decomposed body off a Brooklyn pier on Tuesday, police said.
The grisly discovery was made off Canarsie Pier just before 4 p.m., according to the New York Post.
The fisherman called 911 after reeling in the body. Citizen App video shows police divers at the scene Tuesday evening.

The fisherman, Edmond Stringa, told the Post that he caught something on Monday but was unable to reel it in, so he returned Tuesday with a stronger line and bigger hook.
"It was really heavy. When I pulled it out a little bit, I saw the shoes, the pants," the 69-year-old told the Post. "I thought it was something suspicious. I knew it wasn't a fish."
The body was recovered by police, who said it was too decomposed to identify.
A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
