NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A former One Direction singer was forced to cancel several appearances after falling and breaking his arm while in New York.

Louis Tomilson, 30, was in the city over the weekend for a promotional tour of his new album when the accident happened.

After a Friday performance, Tomilson said in a tweet that he fell backstage and broke his right arm.

“The show last night in New York was incredible,” the tweet read with photos of Tomilson’s broken bones attached. “Unfortunately on the way back, I’ve managed to fall and break my arm pretty badly.”

On Friday, Tomlinson released his latest solo album “Faith in the Future.”

“So I’m gutted to say I’ll have to reschedule the in-store signings next week,” Tomlinson added in the tweet. “New dates will be announced very soon. Thank you for all your support and sorry to anyone who was coming next week.”

Tomlinson had several shows scheduled this week in the United Kingdom.

“The support for Faith in the Future has been incredible!!” Tomlinson said in another tweet Sunday. “Easing the pain of my broken arm haha!”
