Girl, 16, fatally hit by train in Park Slope subway tunnel

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 16-year-old girl was killed Tuesday evening when she was hit by a train in a Park Slope subway tunnel, police said.

The unidentified teen was struck shortly after 5 p.m. by a southbound G train in a tunnel near the Fourth Avenue/Ninth Street station.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to multiple reports, she was among a group of teens walking in the tunnel at the time.

The teen was one of three people fatally hit by subway trains in the city Tuesday.

A man was killed by a Q train in a possible suicide at the Beverly Road station in Flatbush around 2 p.m.

Earlier in the day, a man in his 40s was shoved into the path of a 4 train in an unprovoked attack at the 125th Street station in East Harlem. A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder, police said.
