NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 17-year-old girl died of injuries sustained in a stabbing in the Bronx on Thursday afternoon and the police have taken three suspects into custody, the NYPD said.
At about 2:15 p.m. police responded to 1105 Boynton Ave., an apartment community in Soundview, after receiving reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police discovered a teenage girl, 17, who had been stabbed in the chest with an unknown object.
The teen was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition, and was later pronounced dead, officials said.
Police have taken three individuals into custody in relation to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
