NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — After nearly two years under investigation, Rudy Giuliani will likely not face any criminal charges over his dealings in Ukraine.

According to three sources who spoke to NBC News, the former New York City mayor and Donald Trump's personal lawyer is not expected to be charged in relation to the FBI and Manhattan federal prosecutors' investigation into whether he improperly lobbied the Trump administration on behalf of Ukrainian officials for dirt on then-candidate Joe Biden.

The probe is still underway and has examined whether the 78-year-old possibly broke the law by failing to register as a foreign agent, the sources said.

However, he told NBC News that his phones have been returned after his electronic devices were seized as part of the injury in April 2021.

"If I were representing someone else, I would tell my client to be cautiously optimistic," Giuliani said. "These are good signs, but to quote Yogi Berra, 'It ain't over til it's over.'"

He also confirmed to the outlet that he spoke with Manhattan federal prosecutors and the FBI in February.

"We had a very good conversation, and it lasted about four hours," he said.

Although Giuliani said he's "happy" about the prospect of being cleared, it comes a day after Page Six reported his ex-wife sued him for allegedly withholding $262,000 and is threatening to jail him.

He is also due to appear before a special grand jury in Atlanta that's investigating whether Trump and others illegally tried to interfere with the 2020 general election in Georgia.
