NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New York City music fans look no further: the Governors Ball music festival lineup has arrived.
Kid Cudi, Halsey and J.Cole, who all have strong ties to New York City, are slated to headline the three-day event, scheduled for June 10-12, according to event officials.

More than 60 artists are scheduled to perform, including Migos, Jack Harlow, Glass Animals, Roody Ricch, Playboy Carti and 100 Gecs.

Another interesting addition to the lineup this year is former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal, who will be performing under the alias Diesel.
Governors Ball has already posted the full list of acts to its social media pages, generating some mixed reactions from music lovers.

“This festival last good lineup was in like 2014…” one Twitter user said in response.
Others complained that the event would be taking place “on a concrete parking lot” at Citi Field in Queens, rather than the usual Randall’s Island location.
Still, most people were excited, expressing their desire to purchase tickets as quickly as possible.

According to Governors Ball, a special presale for 3-day and 1-day general admission and VIP tickets will be available exclusively for Citi Bank users beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. through Thursday at 11:59 p.m.
After that, all other 3-day and 1-day tickets will be available to all ages at GovBall.com.
Event organizers said they are also considering that COVID may still be a concern in June and will be working with the New York City Mayor’s Office and other city officials to “create appropriate health guidelines to keep staff, guests, artists and fans safe.”
Governors Ball Music Festival promoters, Founders Entertainment, will also be making a $25,000 donation to the New York City Mayor’s Fund’s relief efforts for the victims of the Bronx apartment building fire.
