“This festival last good lineup was in like 2014…” one Twitter user said in response.

Others complained that the event would be taking place “on a concrete parking lot” at Citi Field in Queens, rather than the usual Randall’s Island location.

Still, most people were excited, expressing their desire to purchase tickets as quickly as possible.

According to Governors Ball, a special presale for 3-day and 1-day general admission and VIP tickets will be available exclusively for Citi Bank users beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. through Thursday at 11:59 p.m.

After that, all other 3-day and 1-day tickets will be available to all ages at GovBall.com.

Event organizers said they are also considering that COVID may still be a concern in June and will be working with the New York City Mayor’s Office and other city officials to “create appropriate health guidelines to keep staff, guests, artists and fans safe.”

Governors Ball Music Festival promoters, Founders Entertainment, will also be making a $25,000 donation to the New York City Mayor’s Fund’s relief efforts for the victims of the Bronx apartment building fire.
