NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A group of people attacked an Uber driver in Queens on Sunday morning, leaving him in critical condition, police said.

The 41-year-old driver was parked at 138th Street and Jamaica Avenue, near the border of Kew Gardens and Jamaica, when he was attacked around 8:25 a.m., police told the New York Post.

Police said a group of four women and a man bashed the driver in the head with a bottle during the assault.

The victim was knocked unconscious in the attack, according to the report. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition.

Police told WABC that the group was angry the driver wouldn't let them all in his car.

The assailants remained at large Sunday, police said.
