NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for five suspects wanted in connection to a violent robbery that happened on a Bronx street earlier this week, authorities said.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., on Wednesday, October 5, a 62-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of East 150th Street and Exterior Street in Mott Haven when he was approached by the group of suspects, officials said.
The suspects began punching and kicking the victim in the head and body, police said.
During the assault the victim dropped his cellphone which was taken by one of the suspects.

All of the suspects fled the location northbound on Exterior Street on foot.
EMS responded and treated the victim on scene for his injuries.
