NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 76-year-old man was beaten with a wrench and robbed by a group of people in East Harlem—and police believe it’s part of a robbery pattern in the area.
The NYPD released images Wednesday of several suspects wanted in connection with the vicious robbery, as well as a second mugging that happened blocks away on the same day.
The victim was attacked in front of 164 East 105th St. around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, police said.

The group beat him over the head multiple times with a metal wrench and stole his wallet before fleeing, according to cops.
He was transported by EMS to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

Just two hours later and a couple blocks away, a 54-year-old man was also attacked by what police believe was the same group.
The victim was inside a residential building at East 106th Street and Second Avenue just after 12 p.m., when the group pushed him into an apartment, pulled a gun on him and stole his wallet, police said.

They fled in a gray sedan that was last seen traveling westbound on East 106th Street, according to the NYPD.
The victim in that robbery was not physically injured.
