NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage on Monday of a group sought for brutally beating a man and woman and stealing $20 in the Bronx last week.
It happened just before 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, when a 22-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were walking in the vicinity of Bronxwood Avenue and East 225 Street in Edenwald, authorities said.
According to officials, the victims were approached by the group who then displayed a firearm and struck the man in the face causing him to sustain bruising and bleeding to the face.
The suspects then struck the woman in the head with the firearm and proceeded to kick and punch her.
The woman suffered a fractured skull and bruising to the body.
Both victims were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.
The attackers stole $20 dollars from the victims and fled location on foot to parts unknown.
