
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a group of armed suspects wanted for impersonating NYPD officers during a home invasion robbery that occurred in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Just after 3 a.m., four suspects entered a residence in the vicinity of St. Lawrence Avenue and Lacombe Avenue in Clason Point, officials said.
Once inside, the suspects identified themselves as police officers before forcibly entering a 59-year-old woman's apartment.
The suspects then displayed a firearm, placed the victim on the floor and removed approximately $18,500 worth of assorted property.
The group then proceeded to a second apartment where they also identified themselves as police officers before forcibly entering.
Once inside, the group displayed a firearm and struck a 40-year-old man in the face before restraining him.
The suspect were last seen fleeing in a vehicle traveling southbound on St. Lawrence Avenue.
The 40-year-old man suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention on scene.
The four suspects were all last seen wearing black clothing.

The vehicle is described as a late model four door SUV.
