NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a group caught on surveillance video stealing coats from Burlington Coat Factory stores in Brooklyn and the Bronx.
On Wednesday, October 28, at approximately 7:30 p.m., six unidentified individuals removed 24 coats from the racks at a Burlington Coat Factory located at 2952 3 Avenue near East 153rd Street in the Bronx.
A 61-year-old female member of the store’s loss prevention team attempted to prevent the theft, the video shows, but the group managed to flee the store without paying for the items.
At approximately 5:30 on October 31, nine suspects removed 56 coats from the racks of a Burlington Coat Factory located at 350 Baychester Avenue in the Bronx, officials said.
The group them placed the coats into pieces of luggage and fled the store without paying for the items.
