NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for an unidentified man accused of pistol-whipping a woman in the Bronx on Thursday, causing the gun to go off, striking a nearby vehicle, authorities said.
The 33-year-old woman became involved in an argument with the suspect just before noon on September 16, in the vicinity of Reservoir Place and Reservoir Oval Walk in Norwood, police said.
The suspect then pistol-whipped the victim and discharged a single round, which struck a four-door Lexus sedan that was parked and unoccupied, according to officials.
The victim suffered bruising, swelling and a laceration to the head. She was transported by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition.
The unidentified man fled in a grey Acura ILX, the NYPD said.
